Cabinet card photo of Hilda and Mamie Oberg was found in Jefferson City, Missouri. It is a larger size than the traditional cabinet card, which reflects the later date of the photo. The photo was taken at Schuster Studios in Hermann, Missouri. The photo is in fair condition with some fading, edge wear and spotting on the frame. The back of the photo is labeled

The 1920 census from Boeuf, Gasconade, Missouri includes Mamie and Hilda Oberg living with their parents Charles and Emma and younger siblings Milford, August and Louis. Their mother, Emma, died May 7, 1928 and is buried in Bethany Cemetery, Franklin Co., Missouri. Emma’s maiden name on her death certificate is difficult to read but looks like Kohlbush, the history of Gasconade County confirms name as Kohlbush. Charles Oberg died August 2, 1961.

Social security death index list a Hilda Krull born Aug 5, 1909 and died November 17, 1997 in Gasconade County, Missouri. This date would correspond to the age of eight months listed on the 1910 census. Mamie Schneider is listed in the same index as born July 22, 1911 and died May 21, 1995 also Gasconade County, MO. A search of Missouri Marriages online and at the Missouri State Archives did not yield a marriage record for the Oberg-Krull or Oberg-Schneider marriages. It is not surprising since all names could be spelled a variety of ways and thus filed under a assortment of spellings.
