About Yearbooks

The High School Yearbooks offered for sale on Jewels Heirlooms have been found in a variety of antique stores, mostly in the Central Missouri area. When a new yearbook is acquired I will scan the cover and list details of the yearbook which might be of interest to genealogist. The yearbook cover and details are then uploaded to Jewels Heirlooms and offered to you at what I feel is a fair price.

Guidelines for High School Yearbooks

1. Options:

a. Purchase the actual yearbook

b. Purchase a good quality digital copy of any ancestors included in the yearbook. Digital copies can be purchased in units 1-3 or 4-8 pages. Pages are scaned at 300ppi and sent via e-mail. You must provide a working e-mail for scans to be sent. I will not sell or share your e-mail with any person or company. All digital transfers will be sent as a .jpg file. I do not touch up or photoshop images. I can do this for you if you request. Scans will be available until the original yearbook is sold. Please contact me if you require a larger number of digital copies.

c. Request a look-up of any ancestors which might be included in the yearbook, this option is free.

2. Handle, store, and ship the yearbooks as if they belonged to my family members. For this reason I will not use media mail. Media mail is a low cost media shipping option, but can take two weeks to deliver and in the words of my local postmaster “gets very damaged and banged up”. All photos are stored and shipped in an acid free sleeve; bubble wrapped and sent in a Priority Mailer. I recommend you insure all purchases; this protects you and me from fraud, theft, and damage.

3. Sell the yearbooks for only enough to cover the purchase, shipping, care, and maintenance of the yearbooks as well as the upkeep of Jewels Heirlooms.

4. All purchases are final. Everyone today either has or has access to a digital camera or scanner. Once you purchase the yearbook it is yours. If you are interested in a scan of the parts of the yearbook see number three.
