About Jewels
Jewel’s Heirlooms was created to showcase a variety of items which may be of interest to genealogists. Jewel was my great-grandmother. When her son, my grandfather, died we came into possession of a trunk containing numerous photos and documents which belonged to Jewel. These items were her heirlooms; they also marked the beginning of my interest in genealogy. I am grateful these items did not end up on an antique store shelf and came eventually into my possession. When I go to antique stores I am always fascinated by the old photos and yearbooks, it is heartbreaking to find stacks of family photos, heirlooms I know someone would love to have and cherish as I do the legacy left to me by Jewel. One of the goals of this site is to try and unite these “lost” photos with family members. Another objective is to offer my antique store finds of old high school yearbooks to visitors. Many families are in possession of unlabeled photographs, old yearbooks are a great way to help identify these photos. Finally, today’s genealogists have many tools and resources available. Jewel’s Heirlooms is committed to share with you many of the resources I and other researchers have found useful.
Enjoy,
Jewel

Lisa,
I am not related to the Rullman family, but found her picture in an antique store in Sedalia, Missouri. The original photo has been sold. However, a digital copy may still be purchased. If you have any further questions feel free to contact me.
